We wanted to break through barriers, and with the help of the Formula 1 experts at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains, we did just that with the all-electric VISION EQXX concept car. Our design strategy started off with a low impact on the environment in mind. Building a bigger battery would be the easiest way to increase efficiency, but we weren't about to go the simple approach. Instead, we started from scratch while designing the VISION EQXX's core components, pushing for improbably light and highly effective ones. We succeeded in creating an energy-dense battery that is 30% lighter and 50% smaller in size.
